You need an Eating Place Beer License to sell beer and cider at your restaurant. This license does not let you sell wine or liquor. The New York State Liquor Authority (SLA) gives this license.
An "eating place" is defined as any place that serves people food to eat on premises. You can also sell beer for people to take home.
